Electric hot water storage tanks are the most commonly used hot water systems usually found in residential homes.
All standard electric hot water storage tanks offer a 5 year warranty on the tank and 12 months on parts.
Dux, Rheem and Aquamax offer the option of a 10 year warranty on their 250 litre, 315 litre and 400 litre size storage tanks.
To maximise the life of your tank it is recommended most valves are replaced every 5 years, and simply by replacing the sacrificial anode you could double the life of your storage tank
Storage tanks range in capacity from 50 litres up to 400 litres. Use this handy guide to work out which size is right for you.

Please note: From 1 January 2010, existing houses and townhouses (class 1 buildings) located in a reticulated natural gas area must install a greenhouse efficient hot water system (gas, solar or heat pump) when the existing electric system needs replacing.
Homeowners will not need to replace existing hot water systems that are in good working order.
Find out if you have reticulated gas by clicking on this link: https://www.smartservice.qld.gov.au/services/property/natural-gas-reticulation/search/postcode
